Right fielder Aaron Judge just got his own cheering section at Yankee Stadium.
The New York Yankees on Monday unveiled "The Judge's Chambers," a group of seats from which 18 fans can cheer on their favorite player while rocking black robes with the Yankees logo on the front and Judge's No. 99 on the back.
As for who will sit in the Judge's Chamber..."proven" Judge supporters, of course. Fans can't buy tickets for the section, but those who wear his jersey or T-shirt, and the people attending the game with them, will be hand-selected for the prime seating.
Per the Associated Press (via FoxSports.com), Judge said he's pretty excited about it:
I was shocked, you know. I was surprised. I think it's going to be a pretty cool idea that the fans will like. It will be something the fans I really think will enjoy.
